Victorian Women Writers – 06

December 3, 2009 by Roy Johnson

a guide to electronic texts

Conclusion

There are many advantages to be had in using Electronic Texts. Although as a tool for reading they remain the poor relation of the printed book, they are extremely useful tools for searching and analysing text. It is likely that the current trend towards exploiting the potential of computers to aid academic research will continue, and there will be a corresponding increase in the number of available E-Texts. Whilst it is possible to use a search engine to find available E-Texts, a knowledge of the best and most reliable sites that offer texts suitable for academic purposes is invaluable.
